When the cardamom plant—Hiliki in Swahilli—is ripe, the flower opens to reveal the cardamom seeds. The shape of the cardamom flower is skillfully hand-carved on the wooden tops of these green upcycled glass jars.
Each jar tells a story of transformation, carefully created from a rescued wine bottle – part of over 2 million bottles collected annually by Chako, a World Fair Trade Organisation member. This isn't just a jar; it's a bridge between you and the vibrant artisan community of Zanzibar.
