All of our sisal baskets are handwoven in Taita Taveta County, the rural corner of Kenya that Zawadisha calls home. At about 8 cm (3 in) tall and wide, it's our tiniest size, made for the little things that like to wander off.
Like a fingerprint, no two baskets are alike.

The best part
The women who weave these baskets are the same women who borrow from Zawadisha's microloan program. Each basket earns its weaver a fair wage, and proceeds from our shop and the sale of our sisal baskets fund our microlending program for women in Kenya. Women's income tends to go straight back into their families: school fees paid, clinic visits covered. Your paper clips have never had it so good.
